Repeat prescriptions can be obtained by posting your repeat prescription slip in the box at reception, emailing your repeat prescription.

Please tick the items you need on your repeat prescription form and request in writing before 11:00  Your prescription should be ready for collection within SEVEN working days.

We do not accept repeat prescriptions over the phone.

We are keen to ensure that patients on repeat medication are reviewed regularly. If you have not been seen recently you may be asked to make an appointment for a pharmacist review of your condition and medication.

An URGENT prescription request is for medication which you need within 24 hours, to prevent you from becoming severely unwell or becoming pregnant. These include:

GTN sprays and 300mcg tablets for Angina are ‘P’ medicines which can be purchased from the pharmacy.

Help with NHS costs

In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:

• those on specific benefits or through the NHS Low Income Scheme
• those who are age exempt
• those with certain medical conditions

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

• 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £111.60
• 3-month PPC: £31.25

If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
